Smorbrod - Colorado Springs

Unique, flavorful, and absolutely worth visiting! Smørbrød is a lovely little eatery hidden away off Cascade Avenue a short way off the major roads nearby. The Scandinavian food served here is nothing like food anywhere else. The dishes are beautifully plated and, they taste just as good as they look. I stopped in for lunch and tried the Tampere and the Gothenburg along with having a Swedish 75 cocktail. The smørbrød was very delightful and came with an apple salad that paired well with the food. The service was swift and my server, Mira, was friendly and informative. I even spoke to Dylan, the executive chef, he was wonderful and even let me know of upcoming events at the eatery. I am looking forward to visiting again in the future.

I could eat here every day! During our trip to Iceland, we fell in love with authentic European cuisine. It's worth noting that the portion sizes are more European than American. I highly recommend trying the meatballs as an appetizer. The food presentation is stunning, and the service was exceptional. Our waiter demonstrated impressive knowledge about the ingredients, flavors, and origins of each dish.

I absolutely love this place! It’s truly one-of-a-kind for Colorado Springs! The ingredients are top-notch and combined in such unexpected and delightful ways. The presentation is sure to impress any perfectionist. The oysters are delivered fresh every Thursday, making our Friday night experience perfect. They also have a wonderful selection of beer, wine, and spirits. I tried the lingonberry Collins and I would highly recommend it! I can’t wait to tell everyone about this gem and I’ll definitely be coming back multiple times!

Fresh, beautiful, and delicious! The service was excellent, and we visited during a leisurely time. We tried one of the smoked salmon dishes, and it was incredible! You can really tell that the ingredients are chosen with care and passion. Highly recommended!

The food was delicious and fresh. I enjoyed the Nordic cuisine and the portion sizes were right. The staff was very friendly and I definitely recommend Sunday brunch. I go back because there were other items on their normal menu that I wanted to try.
