Everything was good, the food and service except: The bill came to the table for $38.41. Waitress took the card and charged my card for $45.51 When questioned she said that she forgot to add the coffee..fair enough. Lets do the math: 2 people had coffee at $2.50 each 38.41 5.00 .40(8% tax) 43.81 and she proceeded to tell us that she had still undercharged us by .70cents. What User doesn't like about Sheldon's Luncheonette:
I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone who is not white. The staff was very disrespectful towards my Asian friend, refusing to make eye contact with him. The hostess was extremely rude, taking a long time to seat us and seeming unwilling to give us menus. The only friendly staff member was the Hispanic waitress. Omg, sooooo good! First time coming after wanting to check it out for years. Friendly helpful staff, delicious ample portions. I got and loved the chicken fried steak and (sunny side up) eggs with hash browns. I ate it in like 8 minutes bc it was so good I couldn't stop!
Sheldons is not what it used to be. We tried the biscuits and gravy, but the gravy tasted like it came from a can. The biscuits were good though. It's a 45-minute drive for us, so we were disappointed with the food. The service was great, the server was very attentive. We may give it another chance, but we are aware of the reputation Sheldons used to have.
They serve the most delicious pancake and bacon that I have had in a long time. I highly recommend it.
I absolutely adore this restaurant! Sheldon's is a cozy restaurant with a welcoming staff and delicious food.
Food was bland and undercooked. Basic breakfast menu. Nice servers. Nothing special about this place. Won’t be returning. Don’t recommend.
