We were in Milwaukee for a convention and noticed that Pier 106 was the only seafood restaurant around so decided to give it a try. Its right on the Riverwalk so a great location especially for those who like to sit outside (we didn't). We had great service and our meal was very good. Went for Downtown Dining Week. This restaurant was on the $35 list, however service was significantly below that level. There was a long wait between courses, but plates were not cleared off the table until the next course arrived. Our server appeared very disinterested in our table. My husband brought me to Penrose Room for my birthday. We recently moved to Colorado Springs and I couldn't wait to try out the best of the Broadmoor.
I have been to the Broadmoor several times, and during my most recent visit, I finally had the opportunity to dine at Penrose Room.
What an amazing place to dine and relax. We were able to sit outside and gaze at the river while enjoying our meal.
This could be a gem of a place but the night we dined, they were short on waitstaff , the food took a long time to get to our table and then seemed overdone. Unfortunately, it was too cold, otherwise, this looks like the perfect place for sitting outside on the patio with a view of the river, open air and energetic city vibes.
