What Michaela Nedomová doesn't like about Dickey's Barbecue Pit:
It's OK for a quick stop for BBQ. I would say their food needs quite a bit more seasoning because the mac n' cheese and green beans were so bland. I think my husband said the same about his ribs. I really liked their creamed spinach and fried okra. I would say the brisket was very dry for my liking. I had to drown everything in BBQ sauce for it to be palatable. View all feedback.
Wow! Where do I even begin? I've been eating here for several years, so I thought I knew what to expect. But the $17 for a two-meat plate really disappointed me. I received just one and a half thin slices of brisket (with about 15% of it being fat) and a small amount of turkey, along with a tiny side of beans and 15 soggy fries that I had to air fry for 10 minutes when I got home. The tiny roll was hard and cold. There were no drinks or extras included either! Honestly, this experience felt more like getting a $20 snack than a proper meal. No thanks!
Parking: There's plenty of parking right in front! Accessibility: Very easy wheelchair access as well.
After paying, the server kindly offered to help carry my tablet since I am partially disabled, and I appreciated her assistance. Once I settled at my table, I realized there were no forks available for my side. I had to get up again to ask for one from her. When I sat back down, I noticed that the paper napkin dispenser was empty, as were the dispensers on nearby tables. I took a bite of my sandwich and was met with disappointment—it was dry, falling apart, and lacked flavor. There were only six small slices of kielbasa, which actually had a decent taste, a very thin and flavorless layer of pork, and a piece of cheese that hadn’t melted at all. The coleslaw tasted okay, but its texture was a bit soft, leading me to believe it might have been sitting out for too long. I finished what little I enjoyed from the kielbasa and pork, leaving the rest of the roll on my plate. Afterward, I used the restroom, which was dirty, with paper on the floor. Overall, it was a terrible experience. I even completed the survey provided by the restaurant to express my dissatisfaction. I notified them via email that I was unhappy with my experience. What a letdown. I would recommend avoiding this place; it’s not worth your time or money!
