You guys made a big mistake closing this place. Don't know what your were thinking. You had one of the best breakfast and lunch places on the north side of town. Seen this before someone in the ownership thinks they know the market and the demographic of a location and a year later the new business idea is in trouble. Good luck. View all feedback.
What Amber D doesn't like about Buttermilk, A Breakfast Eatery:
Wasn't bad, but it's nothing special either. The place was extremely dirty, the food wasn't that great, but our waitress was nice and attentive. Pictures show how dirty it was. Our nice waitress did come to clean the boogers immediately, but it was enough for us to not feel as confident in where or what we were eating. Although newly renovated, I don't think we will be going back. View all feedback.
I give the Food a 4/5. My husband had a breakfast burrito and it was really big and filling. Very fresh.... and definitely the best part was the green chili! He loved it. I had a fried chicken burger. It was a great size and very juicy but it really lacked in seasoning. Had it not been for the bacon and red onion, there would've been no flavor at all. The potatoes that came with my dish were delicious for sure. As for the service, it was pretty slow. The couple that came in before us actually took off and left without even ordering because of how long it took for someone to come to their table. I saw them looking around for a waitress but there was no one tending to them. I also noticed that it seemed like there was no bus boys. The waitresses had to man their tables, and also clean up tables which left tables sitting there with dishes piled for 15-20 minutes. I would probably give Buttermilk another chance and maybe try something else, but I really hope they are able to get more help for their wait staff.

I tried to get one of the Sweet Deals for Buttermilk last year, but they all sold out. They offered another one several months ago and I got one. Glad we didn 't pay full price, as their food isn 't that great. I ordered biscuits sausage gravy w/2 eggs $9). They were s-m-a-l-l and the sausage in the gravy was almost non-existent. My husband ordered a hamburger w/onion rings $12). The burger was t-i-n-y he said it tasted okay) and the onion rings were on the burned side. We also ordered one of their GIANT cinnamon rolls and got it to go, so didn 't get a look at it until we got home photo below). We 'll go back only because we still lhave one of the Sweet Deal certificates to use before it expires. But I wouldn 't recommend Buttermilk Eatery.
Great place for breakfast, easily accommodated my large family gathering of 16. Staff was great, food was good, no complaints.
This is our second time here. We were seated promptly, outside as we requested. Our waitress, Tamara, was super friendly and quick service was provided. We ordered the biscuits and gravy with two over easy eggs, and the cinnamon roll breakfast with bacon and two eggs, so that we could share everything. The eggs were cooked perfectly, over easy, and the bacon was delicious. The cinnamon rolls are huge, very sweet but a little bland. We found that sprinkling a little salt on the generous pour of frosting made them tastier. Salt also enhanced the sausage gravy and biscuits which were also a bit bland. Bisquits are cake-like. I think a little butter in the bisquits might have bummped up the flavor. Overall, a good breakfast, very filling and satisfying. Glad we were outside though, as inside was quite loud! I'm sure the mountain view was once beautiful but is now obstructed by apartment construction, but I love it that they have the outdoor option.
