Nice Middle Eastern food. The service is slow because they prepare everything fresh (no complains). The portion sizes are small but very tasty. Kid friendly, has a small makeshift play zone to keep young kids busy. Family rooms available and they accept card payments. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Parata By Arabian Knights:
Not worth the money. High service charge,And kitchen staffs are not wearing the safety accessories like hair net, arm net etc. Most of kitchen staffs are with a beard. Can give stars only for the atmosphere. View all feedback.
Decent restaurant that specializes on Arabian cuisine. Ambiance is made to provide a bit of a middle eastern look and feel. Staff is welcoming and provides a good customer service. They have an array of middle eastern dishes in their menu and all are priced at reasonable rates. Food is absolutely delicious and prepared to stand out compared to other restaurants of the same type. Though the location seems quite compact, they have parking space for around 5 8 vehicles within premises.
The food is not authentic or doesn't taste as you get in Middle-eastern ordinary restaurants, but okay for a change. The portion of rice they stuff in takeaway boxes is very little which is not enough for even kids, but they charge high.
We tried the Arabian Nights restaurant for lunch yesterday. Coming from a middle Eastern background and having grown up eating Lebanese food, my expectations were not high as I had previously tried Lebanese food in other restaurants here in Colombo and was slightly disappointed. We drank the 'laban ' drink better known as Ayran and ordered several different dishes we were a party of 3 to create a mini-mezza and different main dishes as well as dessert. To my surprise all the dishes ordered hommus with pine nuts and beef meat, moutabbal, tabbouleh, shawarma, falafel, mixed grill were delicious ... the closest to the authentic flavors I have tried here in Colombo. ... and to top it all, the mouhalabieh dessert was very fresh and wonderfully flavored with cardamon and pistachio nuts! ... I guess the only thing really missing was the pita bread which was replaced by a thin Indian style roti ? . Considering the difficulty in finding the proper ingredients in Colombo and using them in the proper proportions the food was great! ... I had to congratulate the Chef Imran in person for his excellent cooking. We cannot complain about the service as we were the only ones there when we ordered ... and the waiting for the food was done in a reasonable time. The place was full when we left.and I am sure we will be back soon.
They are open until 11 pm at the new location down Thimbirigasyaya. Super kebabs and Shawarmas. Fantastic service as well.
The food was very tasty. We ordered mixed grill Arabic, spicy and Arabic shawarma. The grill Arabic was soo nice and chewy where you could taste the spicies and salt so well. However, the spicy shawarma tasted less spicy than we thought. Overall all the meals were soo good and we really enjoyed it and it’s really worth for the money spent.
