Jasmine Song Colombo 05

I recently tried the food at Suki's Wok, located in front of BRC Grounds, and it reminded me of the delicious flavors of traditional Flower Drum cuisine. In my opinion, the taste is superior to that of Jasmine Song.

The restaurant was very clean and the staff welcomed me warmly even though I was dining alone. The food was served at a relaxed pace, not too slow but not rushed either. The soup and vegetable spring rolls were delicious! However, the Szechuan chicken was just okay, it wasn't bad but it lacked that true Szechuan flavor.

Flower Drum was a great restaurant that we thought had been lost in the sand of time. Not to be! The same chefs (I think) perhaps even management Have started Jasmine Song to continue the legacy I thought my crispy fish in hot sauce was gone forever,

Ordered from Jasmine Song many times! Food is amazing, big portions and worth the price! Definitely a family favourite!

UPDATE: I just received (Nov. a call from the Manager, Mr. Jeremy in regards to my review and wanted to get my feedback. This is the first time I have recieved such a call from any establishment in Sri Lanka for a review I have left. Very Impressive! Mr. Jeremy, because of your professionalism and your great attitude, you have won me back as a customer. Feedback is given for improvement, and you taking the time to call me proved to me you value your customers and their opinions. I honestly was pleasantly surprised by your call. I increased my rating simply because of your gesture of taking the time and effort to inquire. I will come by for a meal soon. Keep it up as it is very rare to find such service and appreciation for a guest's review Disappointed as there is no consistency in the quality/taste of food. Besides it took over hours to deliver after saying it would take about minutes. Honesty is the best policy. to minute delay is somewhat acceptable but for it to take more than twice the amount of time is unacceptable. First time we ordered from here was in September and the food was pretty good and delivery was on time. Second time was disappointing. The delivery charge was doubled this time, but I understand given the cost of living going up but it should be conveyed to the customer. Taste of the dishes was just average to slightly below average and the five spice calamari was nothing like I have ever had before for it to be called a five spice dish. And for a restaurant not to have any fish dish available for a Friday night was quite surprising. Probably will not order from here in the future simply because of the lack of consistency when it come food quality and taste and delivery times.
