A very nice restaurant with low prices. The only issue I had was the price for a glas of white wine as the rise up the price extremly. Definitely the wine is too expensive and that is not really good because when you go for...dinnner you may would like to have one or two or more wine. Anyway... You must try the sweet potato soup which is absolutely great. You can also enjoy breakfast : However if you go for dinner do not forget to call for a reservation otherwise you will have a big problem to find a table
Our group went here this weekend for some drinks. Upon entry we were handed a card but not given any explanation. We stayed for one drink - paid for by one person, who was advised to pay on exit after the card was marked. He was the first to leave, believing 26 Euros to be the cost of the round - but it transpired 5 Euros was the entry fee. We complained that this was not advertised (no signage indicated any entrance charge) and no one explained the purpose of the card!We complained about the lack of communication and the manager/owner asked to see all of our cards (the remaining ones being unmarked). One card had already been handed to the girl on the door - which highlighted the entry cost. She denied all knowledge of this, meaning we were one card short and one of the group was forced to pay 50 Euros for a lost card, based on their deception. They were acutely aware that we were tourists and didn't understand their peculiar setup. Their English was clearly competent enough to understand that we had only stayed for half an hour and wouldn't have if the entry charge was clear and chose to take advantage in an unscrupulous manner. If you are stupid enough to come here, feel free to run up an enormous bar tab and lose your card. It should only cost you 50 Euros!

The four of us spent a wonderful weekend in Cologne. We started at Rosenrot for breakfast. The Rosenrot is a real insider tip for guests who prefer a cozy restaurant close to the city. The selection on the menu is varied, there is something for every taste. The service is extremely nice and accommodating. The breakfast was very, very rich, extremely tasty and prepared with a lot of love. The prices are absolutely right! I can highly recommend the restaurant....with a bit of luck you will be served personally by the operator (Annett)....you will quickly notice that this restaurant is her lifeblood. We would love to come back to Annett, to Rosenrot
