The food was definitely the highlight. There were six of us for almost five hours, and the server only came to our table once. No additional drinks were offered; otherwise, we had to go to the front to pay. And no, it wasn't particularly busy. Where we were sitting, it was incredibly cold. Unfortunately, I won't be coming back.
I happened to be walking past this restaurant with my partner today. We were hungry and it looked very inviting, so we spontaneously went in. Highly recommended! The food was excellent, and they also have very tasty vegan and vegetarian options. So if you want delicious Vietnamese food in a nice, cozy atmosphere, go there.
While eating at LU Vietnamese Cuisine, I saw several mice on the floor. This was very unpleasant and raised serious concerns about hygiene. Eating in such an environment doesn't feel safe at all. I expect the restaurant to take swift action.
The food was absolutely delicious and the staff incredibly friendly and very competent! I'd love to come back again!
I wait and wait and wait. No waiter comes, then one does. She asks me what I 'd like to order, and I reply, The menu. After all, I can 't choose a meal without a menu. At least the menu arrives immediately. I order an appetizer, a main course, and a drink. I also have to wait a while for the drink. At least I received my drink 30 minutes after I arrived. And the restaurant isn 't even full. I choose the Mein Goi Mien salad and the main course Bo Sot Me with beef. Now things move a little faster; the salad arrives. The portion is averagely large. It 's well seasoned. And it tastes good. That 's the most important thing. The main course arrives after a reasonable amount of time. The portion is quite large. Everyone should be able to fill themselves here. I would have preferred the dish to be a bit more spicy. But it 's okay. There aren 't any spices on the table for adding more seasoning. And I don 't want to overwhelm the waiters by asking for them. I leave the restaurant feeling somewhat satisfied. But I won 't be coming back again.

I'm, honestly, a little bit back and forth about my assessment of LU. Actually, I would have to award 3 different reviews: for eating drinking for the locality itself for the staff But we start from the front... We were very kindly received there. In the beginning it was a bit chaotic, you didn’t know exactly what table is meant for us, so “must” we move again. That wasn't bad anymore, somehow I imagined it when I think of Vietnam... Here you should say that the “seat groups” perhaps for max. 8 people are suitable. We were actually planned with 10 people, of which 9 were there. One “must” sit more or less on the heater. It should be difficult for larger groups. The furniture was modern and also fits well into the concept. Unfortunately, I did not find the benches very comfortable. In one place or another, you might be able to clean the corners attentively. The same applies to the area under the heating. It wasn’t really dirty now, but a few places already looked at something “reliable”. When we arrived there it was still very empty, but that changed abruptly. 19 o'clock seems to be such a “magical time”. This increased the noise level then also noticeable, but where is it not?? What I personally did not find so good now that we had to wait with the drinks order until we were complete, we were not asked before. So we sat on dry for the first 10 minutes. You could have picked up the drinks and served. With the beverage order, we also expressed our food wishes. Somehow I couldn't really decide, but the Vietnamese roles (Goi Cuon somehow seemed magical at me. “But which one” was the question. So I ordered all three. When the question came “As an appetizer?” I had to stand a moment. I thought that was my main court. So I stayed there. As a drink I ordered a ginger iced tea. The time between the order and the time we got our food was completely OK. We thought that would have to wait much longer due to the sudden guest storm. Then they stood there, the roles: lucky roll with roasted salmon fillet summer roll with shrimp and pork love roll with duck and mango There were 2 sauces: coconut tamarind and hoisin peanut I thought the rolls were hot, but they were served cold. This is what the Vietnamese cuisine was completely strange to me: o With what role do I start now? Best with all, and so I tried all the rolls Saucen combinations. Cross and cross. No matter how to combine, it was delicious. Just here and there I would have liked a little more pepp or wort. Because it tasted everything rather a bit discreet. I always thought that the Asian cuisine is rather distinctive of taste. The reels were quickly crushed and I'm thinking if it was a mistake to order the reels only!? Then the others got their food and I thought “Well great, wrong decision” : o All made a quite happy impression. At some point, I got half the bowl in front of my nose and came to taste a main dish. This came from the day card. Bún ga chien with band noodles and chicken meat on the first bites very delicious. Very special from the spice, but still good... : Unfortunately, I did not find the meat so tingling. A few pieces I had in them were so crowded that they reminded me of duck from the simple “bubbed Chinese”. That's right, with chicken, better and leaner. Otherwise there was nothing to criticize. Because it was also very appealing visually. For the food there would be only 3 stars. The best thing in the evening was the ginger iced tea. I've never had such a delicious iced tea before. For this, you would have to give 5 stars... : After dinner some “competitors” have ordered coffee. All right, nothing extraordinary, I still thought. But somehow he looked different than ours. And smelled different. Curiously I watched the others and ordered one more. Cafe Sua Nong sounds exotic, he was. He was served “brewing” and you probably wait a few minutes. If you take off the filter attachment you might think you would have a normal black coffee. The lou is still “something” on the cup floor. Because when you stir the coffee becomes more and more white and sweeter, paired with a caramel aroma. Very interesting and very tasty. You ask yourself how it works. Why isn't the coffee already white and sweet when brewing?? We got another dessert on the house. Banana with nuts in coconut milk (or so similar . Interesting of taste and very tasty. I don't know what it's called, especially good to mention the staff. Very nice and accommodating. Except for the drinks slipper at the beginning. For example, the geographical conditions of Vietnam and Saigon were explained on demand. How do I evaluate the whole thing? Without the appetizers and the dessert, it would perhaps be “magererer” to fail. The ginger iced tea and coffee have earned smooth 5 stars. The staff also 5 stars. For the locality I give, well-meaned, 4 stars. Actually, in a restaurant the food is in the foreground, but I forgive, especially because of the rest, 4 stars and talk to me a “You just chose wrong”...

Never been to Lu itself. A colleague recommended to call Lu and order some food for lunch. I had a Gurken salad and I was pretty impressed. Very tasty and good portions. Saw the other dishes ordered by colleagues. It is eye candy and asking to be ordered next time. Yesterday I passed the Restaurant Lu at night. A lot of people sitting inside, from the outside the atmosphere was good looking and attractive. Have to go there one day.
Very simple and limited menu at Lu's although it seemed there were extra options available from the daily dishes on the board. I asked if the noodles can be replaced with veggies in my chicken pho which is usually always okay at Vietnamese restaurants however they didn't seem to be flexible enough to allow it. The pho was nice enough but would have loved an additional kick. No garnishes available on the table.
Located quite central right across tram station Zülpicher Platz this restaurant is good addition to the Asian food offer in Cologne. The menu is rather compact but extended with additional dishes from the daily menu, offering enough choice for everyone and every taste. From spring roll starters to soups and main everything is prepared fresh, very tasty and served and arranged in a very appealing way. Service is friendly, prompt and attentive. Why only 4 stars? The restaurant itself is decorated nicely but not the most relaxing/quite. You constantly have people standing in the room waiting for the next free table and watching you eat over your shoulder... If you are looking for a calm and relaxing dinner this might not be the right choice, but if you are on the hunt for good and fresh Vietnamese cuisine this is the right place.
The restaurant was super cosy and smells really nice. Really nice food, simple but tasty. Service was ok, the cocktails are great too
Very nice restaurant. High quality ingredients, fast and friendly service, OK prices. The menu is a small selection of dishes, all cooked perfectly. Reservation recommended, it is always full (for a good reason!

Reserved tables without label I just annoy the rear tables (without passing) should always be reserved. Then please put a sign on the table and don't wait until every second guest tries to sit there. I ordered beef with rice noodles today. Rating: too little herbal fish sauce tastefully very lazy red onions thumbendick cut beef not cut small
Also I was, like SL in the post, one of these people wrote at the regular table, one of them had reserved for us all, was here to simply enjoy the other Asian cuisine. And indeed, the taste, e.g. the bacon duck, or the beef, tasted differently, but good. The dishes were sufficient from the crowd so you were well fed, then a delicious dessert on the house bananas in Coconut simply delicious. Also the typical Vietnamese coffee with sweet milk. I found the prices moderate, and what should not remain unnoticed, the toilets, here was the toilet of the men clean. Even though the service, which was very friendly, was also not 5 stars of me, one less because one sat relatively tight on the table. Otherwise recommend.

Unfortunately, my eating was canced stupidly only at 12:20 a.m., which was just too short. next time please tell us earlier
Fresh, tasty and really delicious. Small place with a great food and good service. If you like a orient tastes you should go there. Fresh spring rolls and crispy and lightly duck - that's my favorite choices
