Here are the facts based on my recent visit:- The restaurant is clean.- The owners are a friendly elder couple. it is not the type of business friendliness that you may find in an upper - class establishment, but a down to earth and more quiet kind of friendliness which finds its expression not so much in big words and a business-like welcome, but rather in a calm smile here and there. - Food: Home-cooked and tasty. I tried the Chicken Jalfrezi which came with different veg on the side. One could argue if the composition of spices could have been a little more sophisticated, but I enjoyed what I got, and I do claim to be very familiar with Indian / South-Indian cousine. I particularly liked the red chilly, which is one of the spiciest, yet most tasty ones I ever tried. The owner offered it to me after he noticed that the dish that I ordered as "spicy" was not spicy enough for me. Ironically, only when you approach the till to pay you see a hand-written sign somewhere in the back of the restaurant warning guests in German and English of the red chilly's potentially dangerous impact. Otherwise, Lakshmi is a simple place and absolutely fine as such , and should thus not be rated as if you'd gone (and paid for) a dinner in a Maharadja's palace. All in all, I will definitely go back there.
