A thoroughly enjoyable experience.L'Epicurien is in a small street in the area known as Petit Venis. It's a charming spot to walk to -very romantic as one crosses the canal and enjoys the illuminated water and bridges.The restaurant was recommended to us by the owner of our apartment who lives full-time in Colmar. She knew her stuff!!The food was high quality and beautifully prepared and presented, the wine list was wide ranging and interesting and even though the restaurant is not enormous, the tables were appropriately arranged for dining in privacy and calm.Many locals clearly eat there-that's an excellent judgement in a restaurant in a town frequented by tourists. Thoroughly good experience- don't hesitate to go there. You definitely need to book.

You definitely need a reservation... read more Small restaurant, with excellent food. We had the Veal Chop and Beef Filet. Both cooked to perfection. Service also very good. You definitely need a reservation, they offer two seating times, 7pm or 9pm. Also they are closed Sunday and Monday. The best restaurant we ate at in Colmar. We highly recommended it!
