What Suzanne Maurice doesn't like about Auberge de Collonges:
Went for quick lunch. We'll priced menu du jour, decent quality, yet nothing wild. Absolutely ok for price, though. Staff very friendly we went with our small daughter who played around in restaurant, and they were not bothered at all, brought lollipops etc) View all feedback.
I invited some friends on a Monday evening dinner as I was positively impressed by the service and food 1 month before. Not sure what happened in the meantime, but the staff has changed: from friendly, helpful and nursing staff 1 month ago, to limit-rude service and staff yesterday. People and management seem to have changed. The waiters began to clean tables at 21:30, we had « derée » and there were already chairs on the neighboring tables; the waiters came to our table 4/5 times to ask if we were done while we had to finish half fondue; Zero contact, zero heat, zero commitment from personnel. The thing is that I invited my friends there because food was good and staff very professional ..what a figure!!
Parking is available outside, you need a car to reach this restaurant. It is a brand new restaurant with a large terrace, inside with air conditioning. Very friendly staff, efficient service. Eating is good with different choices, children's menu are available. My husband had a lamb shoulder that he slept in his mouth, but served only with cousin, not a veg at all. I would be a fillet de peche, well cooked, but in a small pan that looked good, but uncomfortable not practical to eat inside. I was delighted to have Tiramisu (salted butter taste) on the Internet, which was not available at that time. Cafe Goumount was OK. Pricewise, no menu in the evening, individual price was reasonable, but if you take Entree, Teller Dessert, the add-up is not so cheap. 2 of us with my son, some open wine, 4 soda, 2 ducks, 2 plates, 1 children's menu, 1 dessert, 125 €
Was in Geneva for a few days and decided to try restaurants in France as it would cost cheaper. This one is literally on the border, and the food is absolutely marvellous. Lots of choices for everyone, the portions are quite big and everything is fresh. I will definitely come back one day. The staff did not really speak English but were extremely friendly, especially the managers. I genuinely had an amazing night with my friends, thanks a lot for this!
We went there last night for dinner. It was very busy. We had called in advance for a reservation. Friendly staff. Nice looking restaurant, not fancy. Pricing is average for the area. Food was good. We had filet perche and steak tartare. Service was good. It took a little longer between the entry and the main dish because the place was so full but for us that was just perfect. We will not Forget this place and come back again.
I appreciate the fish, like the perch net. salads are topped with good seasonal garden vegetables. fondue, even in summer, eats with tasting. pleasant terrace shaded by parasols
