Starbucks in Collingwood is big, clean, busy. It is stuffed into a tiny lot so parking is at a premium and the drive through is ... treacherous. Food and staff are up to the busy traffic demanding gourmet coffee. Courteous. Fairly quick. Concept could really could be reworked as a cottage / lake theme store and it would be really interesting. But for now, it is above average/ no real knocks for anything other than th... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Starbucks:
I made a mistake and said "macchiato" instead of "mocha"... the staff at the drive-thru laughed at me. They went to the window, made my drink, and took about 30 seconds. When they handed it to me, I could hear them mocking me. It was really disappointing. I don't think I will be returning to this restaurant because of the prices. The drive-thru setup at this location in Collingwood needs to be improved. It is too small and dangerous, and it's surprising that the city allows it to remain that way. The restaurant should consider renovating for safety reasons, as the current setup feels like an accident waiting to happen. The drinks, food, service, and staff all deserve a 5-star rating, but the drive-thru experience gets a 0-star rating.
I had a delicious Cubano panini and a cheese danish with a matcha green tea at the restaurant and it was excellent!
This is a 50/50 shot good experience. the baristas can be friendly and accommodating, as I expected from dieucks, or they can be short and unprofessional. I know that things are like the storage services from the control of the baristas, but sometimes I am not getting to feel welcome at this dieucks, and other paints I am very personal.
I was quite disappointed by the service here yesterday. My friend and I were greeted with silence at the drive speaker for several minutes and then a dispassionate tone asking “Anything else?” after each word I spoke.I am a former Starbucks barista and manager. As a result, I know well the quality of service that is expected when customers order at a Starbucks location. Being an ex-partner, I have more patience than anyone when it comes to customer-facing roles, but I was appalled. They were out of multiple components of my order (which is of course not the baristas’ fault), but I had ordered a bakery item at the speaker and was told at the window 2 minutes later that it was in fact not available. No apologetic tone, no thanks for the patience, nothing. No greeting or smile at the window. The barista had turned away and was chatting with a co-worker, so my friend and I were left to sit awkwardly in silence.I completely understand being slammed busy for 8-12 hours straight, being yelled at by customers, and feeling exhausted from being on your feet all day. But in my opinion, everyone deserves a warm greeting and to be given the benefit of the doubt. You never know what someone may be dealing with, and maybe they were just having a terrible day. In saying this, our experience today was loads better, although still lacking the friendliness and professionalism at the window, so I am giving 3 stars for now. I am willing to change my review in future.
