Love this place. The many types of breads, scones, croissants etc are baked fresh daily. All the ingredients is organic and sourced locally. If you want hot out of the oven croissants you have to arrive early :), but so worth it Yummy. I have bought fresh bread from the Farmers market in Collingwood before but love this place the best for taste and price point. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Collingwood Bread Company Inc.:
I bought the sourdough and the whole wheat. Both were good but nothing to rave about. The hours are ridiculous - 8:30 am - if you want good fresh bread for breakfast then you have to go to Metro - cheaper and just as good. I doubt I will return, firstly the hours, second the price does not justify the taste. View all feedback.
The bread and scones are great. The cinnamon lunettes are the best anywhere. There's sometimes a lineup but it moves quickly.
You should consider yourself lucky if you’re able to get a loaf of bread from this bakery! At least that’s how the folks who work here intend to make you feel. Burnt baguette? ‘No, that’s how they all come.’ Any idea when you’ll have another...batch of croissants ready? ‘No idea, I just work here.’ I’d rather eat day olds from Loblaws than continue to support this business. I kept trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. The bread is good, but not worth the jilted, awkward and, hard feelings you’ll have leaving this place literally every time you go in. I can honestly say I have never had a good customer experience with this bakery.
We stopped in around and there was no line up. We bought their pain au chocolat, delicious. Some scones and their cranberry bread. All were delicious. Definitely worth going.
This is the ONLY place in Collingwood that I will join a COVID line up early in the morning! And if they run out of what I want, shame on me, I have to go earlier next time. And as far as closing early...and running out of product I applaud the owner's belief in quality it's working. And somehow I hope he/she has found a good life-balance in this wonderful town! If you want volume, go to COBS but if you want the best damn baking in Collingwood, come here. Although I love the breads, I am a lover of my weekly croissants (plain, chocolate and my favourite ham and cheese) and the tea biscuits. And this morning I tried their new sausage rolls simply the best ever!
The bread is good, no question. But if you want to enjoy it for the day, you have to get there when it opens. This place makes a certain amount each day, and when they sell out (usually quickly) they close. This is where everyone...goes for their bread. He keeps the batches small to ensure quality. Always a place i go to, if i can get out of bed early enough!
