Gluten Free heaven. The food was AMAZING. I am celiac and most items are gluten free. Fryers are gluten free. I was able to have dishes that I have not eaten for almost a decade. My dining companion is not gluten free and he enjoyed the food as much as I did. This food is wonderful whether you need gluten free or not. Mikayla was informed, friendly and efficient. My deepest thanks to her for suggesting the gluten fre... View all feedback.
What Kelsi D doesn't like about From Across The Pond:
Nope. Just don't do it. Food was almost 30 minutes late. It was sub-par flavor/food that WAS piping hot, but quality of the salad looked like the bagged salad greens suspiciously from Costco and more of a garnish with the shepherds pie. Shepherds pie was okay, but wasn't worth the wait. View all feedback.
My friend brought me here for a late birthday lunch on a Friday afternoon this august 2022 . We walked in and there was a jolly crowd watching soccer in the teeny pub. My introverted self was like WHOA. However my friend reassured me that she made a great choice bringing me here. So we sat down and eventually ordered drinks and food. I will add that I 'm a bit of an Anglophile so it really was a treat to come here. Staff was friendly. The place had great energy and is cozy. My friend and I ordered an appetizer and two entrees. I enjoyed the appetizer sampler. My chicken tikka masala butty ? wasn 't my favorite. However I 'll try something different next time. My friend and I both agreed that the sausage rolls with the appetizer were GOOD. Hell. She ordered a couple to go to take home to her husband. We will be back most definitely! And kudos to whoever made my London Mule that was a STRONG and tasty pour! :
Extensive gluten free menu. Cider a d other GF offerings from the bar. The food was excellent! I am planning to frequent this location.
I have been going to their last 3 places over the past 6 years. It has been going downhill slowly but steadily. Went there today with my 10 yo son who couldn't eat the fries they were so bad. My meal was OK but could have been much nicer if it had been warmer than warm. The Nan bread was stale and one piece as solid as a tack. FATP does get the award for being the first eatery (cannot call it a restaurant) to defeat my son in him not eating the fries first. My previous trip I had a curry that had more salt in it than chicken. Do not dare comment on the food to the owner he will call you all the names under the sun. No wonder only 2 tables were in used on a Friday lunchtime.
The staff here are really what make this place shine. I hadn't been to this location and was a little shocked at the difference between this and the last. This feels much more like a cafe now or small diner. Decorated with British fare and a smaller menu which has become more common for so many reasons but I'm a fan. The fish and chips were good and so was the coleslaw. The chicken tikka needs some work in my opinion. The chicken was tough and the naan looks more like lunch-able bread. But maybe that's because there are so many good Indian food restaurants around that our tastebuds are a little more educated now. Really sweet staff and they make sure you don't go without. Thank you for a fun time!
Simply amazing! The GF onion rings, GF fish/chips and GF bread pudding were fantastic! You can’t even tell they are gluten free! We will be back to try more items on the menu! Shout out to Victoria and Chef Meg!
