My family has visited this restaurant as a tradition every time we camp on the Mesa for many years apparently before it was owned by Brian because we stopped th... read more My family has visited this restaurant as a tradition every time we camp on the Mesa for many years apparently before it was owned by Brian because we stopped there a few days ago and when Google wanted a review my wife gave a very short but not terrible review the owners rude reply made me mad so I tried to call him . With no answer I sent a text, his reply was worse than the dry hamburger. If I can figure this posting thing out I will add the crazy rude text messages so you can decide for yourself if this is the kind of person you want to cook your meal. If not check Facebook it's so appalling everyone is sharing.

It was sad to hear that the din... read more Camped here with a friend during a cross-country road trip in September 2020. Booked via HipCamp and had a wonderful experience. It was sad to hear that the diner burnt down the next month, but looks like it is being re-built and camping is still offered.We were looking for a simple, quiet, and safe place to camp on our way from Utah to Denver. There are rave reviews on HipCamp and loved the idea of staying near an organic pickle farm! Plus, this place offered showers, a toilet, and a highly rated diner.It was after dark when we arrived and no one was inside the diner, which was a little spooky in such a small town. Brian arrived shortly to greet us and was incredibly kind, even asking if we wanted any snacks from the closed diner. He was willing to make us milkshakes! We politely declined, and he brought out some pickles and flavored waters inside (so kind).We set up camp and slept well. It was very quiet and felt like a safe area for two female travelers. The next morning we utilized the shower and bathrooms, which were clean. The shower is on an enclosed deck, so it was a little chilly but the water was nice and hot. There was a beautiful view and a nice grassy area for my dog to run around before we left.The diner didn't open until after we left but based on the rave reviews and Brian's personality I imagine it's a great place to dine. Would definitely return to try it out and camp again.

The owners are incredibly friendly. Be sure to ask for a sample of their steak shake!

Once inside pickles, pickles everywhere. we took a detour on our road trip and found this place gladly by accident, yes it's rough looking on the outside but the food was well worth the gamble. The food was fresh and tasty and the shakes were creative and delicious! Had a FULLY loaded navajo taco, cheeseburger with huge beef patty, fresh handcut fries and tried the PICKLE milkshake (yes, pickles and ice cream work! and pineapple habanero milkshake, all of which were very tasty and left us very satisfied. The best part of the meal however, was the lovely customer service and charm radiating off the owners which made you feel very welcome and very well taken care of, your no outsider here. A small town gem found in the unlikeliest place but will definitely be on my roadtrip favorites. we also found hidden campgrounds along this route and can't wait for another PICKLE milkshake accompanied by the beautiful scenery along the route.

We stopped by a few days ago, and when Google requested a review, my wife gave a brief but not terrible one. However, the owner's rude response upset me greatly, so I tried calling him without success. When I sent a text, his reply was even worse than the dry hamburger we were served. If I figure out how to add this post, I will include the rude messages so others can decide if this is the kind of person they want preparing their meals. If the restaurant doesn’t check Facebook, it’s truly shocking how many people are sharing their negative experiences. The menu used to be better, but now the overall experience is disappointing.

H... read more When we arrived after dark, the diner was closed, adding a somewhat eerie vibe to the small town. Fortunately, Brian showed up shortly thereafter to greet us. He was very friendly and even offered us snacks from the closed diner, mentioning that he could whip up some milkshakes. We politely declined, but he thoughtfully brought us pickles and flavored waters instead. After setting up camp, we enjoyed a restful night's sleep in the quiet and safe surroundings—perfect for two female travelers. The next morning, we took advantage of the clean shower and bathroom facilities. The shower is located on an enclosed deck, which made it a bit chilly, but the hot water was delightful. There was also a lovely view and a grassy area where my dog could play before we continued our journey. Although the diner didn’t open until after we left, I have no doubt it’s a wonderful place to eat given the glowing reviews and Brian’s warm hospitality. I would definitely consider returning to camp there again and trying out the diner.

The service is fantastic, and there are some interesting and unique shake flavors to sample. The atmosphere is wonderful as well! I highly recommend trying the habanero pineapple shake!
