What MaryD0109 doesn't like about Riverside Pub:
My husband I used to lunch here regularly but we think the management has changed. The standard of service is now pretty mediocre, not friendly conscientious staff. The food can be very hit and miss, although the chicken makhani and battered cod are usually good. View all feedback.
Really tasty gluten free cod and chips at Chequers Riverside in the retail park. Large portions.
This is the best Chippy to visit up the North Coast if Coeliac. I am very sensitive and have never had an issue here. They offer GF fish, cod bites, chicken goujons, mushy peas and chips. All fried in a dedicated fryer. They also have gf vinegar and dips. Staff are knowledgeable about coeliac too.
Very convenient hotel in the area to be able to visit all the most interesting and famous places on the coast. Large and spacious rooms with everything, simple and nice. Very kind staff, possibility to have breakfast and dinner on site. We only took breakfast which for around 10 pounds was the best choice, an all-you-can-eat international part and a freshly prepared hot continental breakfast of your choice. Everything was excellent, we had dinner directly after a similar super breakfast. Parking available outside.
I've been twice in this hotel, and found that the staff are very kind, the rooms are adequate in size, clean and nicely decorated. The breakfast is in the adjacent restaurant which is a plus to have it so close for dinner without having to drive out.
Good price/quality ratio The staff at check-in didn't have any sort of attention to the paying guests or customers
