A friend recommended this restaurant for its steaks, so we decided to give it a shot. However, since the steaks were quite expensive, we chose to try the burger sliders and bacon-wrapped poppers instead. The sliders were tasty, and the homemade fries were excellent. Unfortunately, the four poppers we received were disappointing—old, rubbery, shriveled, and quite small for the $8.99 price tag. We mentioned our concerns to our waitress, who said she would pass it along to the owner, but we never heard anything back. Because of this experience, we won’t be returning, whether for steaks or anything else. Also, it’s worth noting that this place is very pricey; their 12 oz Prime Rib is $25. In comparison, the Smoke Shack in Warsaw, just 15 miles away, serves it for $16.
When we paid our bill, we shared our experience with the cashier. The staff behind the counter responded with rude facial expressions and a threatening demeanor. I don't know if it was because of our age or the fact that we weren't locals, but the service we received was uncalled for, and our overall experience was disappointing. If you are not from the area, I would recommend avoiding this place—they will identify you and treat you poorly. Additionally, the 99-cent tacos were terrible and made me feel unwell before I even left!
The steaks at this restaurant are amazing! When it comes to the prices, you definitely get your money's worth—it's worth every penny.
The chicken was almost still alive when it was served to me. I ordered the 99-cent chicken tacos, and a server named Jesse delivered them. He appeared to be distracted, talking into a microphone about something called "Aesterwald." When I asked for some sauce for my tacos, he didn’t respond and simply walked off. I decided to try the tacos anyway, but to my surprise, the chicken was not only undercooked but was literally still moving! Although it was just meat, it was quivering. I can definitely say I won't be coming back!
K C BBQ in the Ozarks is incredible! I was surprised to discover such outstanding BBQ in this area. It’s a must-visit spot—genuinely the real deal!
