For many years the building was a bank and only a few years ago became a café. I've only called in here for coffee and a snack, plus to buy bread to take home, so I cannot comment on their meals. I've always found the staff to be friendly and efficient and the bread and pastries to be fresh. Well located for students of the university and tourists to the city
At the foot of the steps that lead to the university, this is a very handy place to eat breakfast. Service is fast and the food is good. Relatively near Praça da República.
‘This Pastlaria is at the base of the stairs that lead to the University on the east side.it has an excellent selection of pastries and sandwiches at very reasonable prices. Perfectly suited to the college students.
At the bottom of the monumental steps leading from the university, it's a very popular eatery. We alighted here for breakfast, availing of an outside table in the sunshine. We had the omelette sandwich, accompanied with cappuccino and coffee. All very tasty. The staff were pleasant and friendly, which along with the marvellous value leads to a high recommendation.
