Average, at best, this seven-table bar and, now also a restaurant, serves very ordinary local food. The chafana , roast goat was served in a slight gravy with boiled potatoes. It consisted of a knee joint and parts of a leg. It was overlooked and there was no green nor yellow vegetable to go with it. The roast pork cutlet was dry, served with rice and a tired cut up (sic! lettuce salad with a suggestion of onion slices and hardly more than 3 droops of dressing on it. The nata pudding was un memorable. I drowned my sorrows in a large carafe of wine...
Arrived after 15:00 in Coimbra and this was the only place still serving. Cozy place with nice local dishes. Delicious homemade desserts. Hosts don't speak a word of English but went out of their way to serve us.
