We fancied the sound of the 2 course "formule" of a starter buffet plus main course...was it Eur 12.5 or Eur 14 ...anyway not expensive.......Was it any good ? YES ! Starter buffet had a wide choice of the usual crudites , plus Charentais melon and jambon cru etc .. very nice, a volonte too (we were upstairs and had to go down again to get to the buffet ).Mains taken were hake and lovely steak frites...both well garnished ( eg hake came with a lovely little casserole dish of ratatouille ). Seemed to be a family run place and it was a credit to them and the popularity of the place confirmed that many people rated it pretty highly. 9 out of 10.
