The owner is a quirky Austrian who sure knows how to make coffee and some of the sweet delicacies are fabulous. The Bircher muesli has to be the best in Australia. I haven't tried them all, but let's face it when it is this good, why go any further. I only gave it four stars because it only accepts cash and he doesn't open long enough! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Frances Street Cafe:
Stopped by to have a coffee and some lunch. The cafe owner became quite upset with me because I had my own water bottle. He asked that I not bring food or drinks from elsewhere. The bacon and egg roll was nice. A number of people at the cafe had dogs at their tables, which the owner did not seem to mind. Perhaps it is the local cafe where dog lovers can dine with their dogs. Had to leave, could not put up with the rudeness and unwillingness to help. I will never recommend this place to friends.
A beautiful old building with an owner operator that plays classical music in the background and prepares your meal with care and attention, delivering it to you with an Austrian accent to match his precision. Get away from the road stops and for a brief minute enjoy Coffs Harbour coffee with joy.

Wonderful lunch and coffee at this back-blocks cafe. Generally a fairly quiet place, and loads of space. It's a relaxing place to stop by, being well away from other shops. The owner is a bit abrupt, but means well. He enjoys classical music!
If you are after the best coffee in town then look no further. Edmund always caters for your 4 legged friends too and the food is equally amazing. My favorite cafe in Coffs!
