This restaurant in the hills of Coeur d'Alene is truly one of the best. Owned by the same people behind Syringa Sushi, the longest running sushi restaurant in the Kootenai district, you can expect top-quality food at Blue Bird Caffe. My new favorite lunch spot! Excellent food! Excellent server!
This is a well-run restaurant with excellent food and a standout wine list. I've eaten here several times and always had a good experience. Owner/manager is a great guy who clearly cares about his customers and the waitstaff have always been attentive.
We ended up coming to this restaurant because another restaurant closed early- all I have to say is everything happens for a reason. We came to Idaho to get out of WA state where we are from (for obvious reasons) and this restaurant serves better food than nearly every place I’ve been to in the Seattle area. Do yourself a favor and order the fried chicken with the watermelon salad- some of the best food I’ve had in my entire life. We also loved the oysters. This is what dining out is supposed to be.
Surprisingly great atmosphere and good food selection. The pickled appetizer was the best!
We went there and come back because first experience was great! Their poutine is the best! Must try!!! I've try few different poutine from Quebec and other places, their's is totally different, it's not original but so yummy. Their chicken hot wing also good. I like the Jalapeños sauce but the chicken too dry. Oyster is good and fresh. Burger is good. Halibut is okay. Their french fries is too small. First time we came the service was good but not the second time. A littile bit disappointed with the second visit but we will still come back for their poutine and their hot wings! Don't forget to stop by if you are in town.
