Interesting cafe set up. Lots of different tables and chairs. Very cosy for most of it.Food came out relatively quick considering how busy they were. Staff were really friendly.Friends enjoyed their meals and plates were empty so that's always a good sign.My burger was tasty and had some interesting flavours. But $6 for an extra patty when the burger was already $20 was pretty steep. But overall had a great brunch and... View all feedback.

I contacted you this morning spoke with a Bianca and was gobsmacked at how impolite and rude she was on the phone! I understand you're under the pump but under no circumstances is one to be made feel the way your staff did to me. Simple phone manners like good how are you ? How can I be of assistance to you ? Sorry we aren't taking taking any bookings at the moment rather than being rude and abrupt! Absolutely pathet... View all feedback.
Great service every time I visited. great food and variety of choices. I wish I lived in Melbourne to visit more. No booking required for under 6 people. Order from menu or bar code on tables. Food was beautiful and every meal I chose different and all really lovely. Local heritage within the prison area.
We absolutely loved coming here for breakfast and brunch during our stay at the Adina apartment pentridge. We were in the area for 4 weeks and frequently stopped by for a bite to eat. The staff was wonderful, and being a family-owned business, the service was top-notch. The atmosphere was fantastic - we highly recommend it.
Situated on the grounds of the old Pentridge Prison in one of Melbourne's rapidly growing suburbs, The Boot Factory offers a unique dining experience. My family and I arrived at noon and were able to secure a table inside. We scanned the menu using a QR code, and although I typically prefer traditional menus, the enticing photos of the dishes helped us make our selections. Lunch with my adult children made ordering a breeze, and we enjoyed a variety of dishes including the Big Brekky (shared between two), quesadillas, halloumi burger, and a customized egg breakfast. The portions were generous, and the flavors were exceptional. The velvety cake we had for dessert was delightfully light and not overly sweet. Our drinks included hot chocolates, lattes, iced chocolate, and a unique purple beverage that tasted similar to blueberry chai - all of which were delicious. The staff were quick, efficient, and friendly, adding to the pleasant dining experience. After our meal, we took the time to explore the surrounding area, which is rich in history. The cafe is wheelchair accessible, with a disabled toilet on site. Parking was surprisingly easy to find, even on a busy Sunday. Dietary restrictions can be accommodated upon request, and takeaway options are available. Dogs are welcome outside, and the cafe offers a children's menu with a variety of choices beyond just nuggets and fries. Overall, The Boot Factory is a fantastic dining destination with a unique theme, delicious food, and excellent service. Keep up the great work!
The Boot Factory is a cafe located in what used to be a prison in Pentridge. It now serves drinks and light meals, and has become a popular spot for us to visit after catching a movie at the Pentridge Cinema. My partner especially enjoys the delicious chai tea that they offer.
I had a vegetarian focaccia and it certainly excelled for quality, interest, and value. It had fetta, grilled eggplant, red peppers, lettuce, roast pumpkin, and pesto. The serving size was good and the price very reasonable. Queuing was long, but Covid safe.
