Nice place for a sandwich, burger or hot dog. Picnic tables outside and booths by windows inside. Food is simple and fairly priced. Liquor drinks and draft beer are available and more than fairly priced, I’m not sure about wine, I didn’t ask. Service was casual but friendly and fit the atmosphere and price. I recommend the foot long chili dog and cheese fries. My daughter loved the bologna sandwich, I didn’t try it b... View all feedback.
What Michelle G doesn't like about Sam’s Corner:
Have never been to Sam 's corner before, even after living in Surfside beach for many years. I 've always liked Surfside beach better, so guess that 's why I never ate there. Just happened to be down in G.C. and stopped in to be able to say, Yes, I 've been there . Ordered their famous footlong hotdog and drink. Over $10.00. GROSS!! Bun wasn 't toasted, dog was cold and just a mess with chili, ketchup and mustard. Th... View all feedback.
I know it's a local iconic place, but the food is kinda expensive for cheap food. I'd pass personally, nothing to brag about. Hot dogs at the convience store are the same.
Good for a quick bite. Neat, clean, friendly. Counter serve, Tastey chili dogs. Great burger. Really good onion rings. 60's diner feel. Very good service.
We stopped here for a quick lunch with our kids. The one good thing is they had an outdoor picnic table which was perfect for after the beach. I went inside to order. The young woman taking orders was noticeably rude. I asked a simple question (very nicely) and she was condescending and short. I didn't even order drinks there because I was in such a rush to leave my interaction with her. It was like she was bothered to have to take an order, or talk to anyone. The price was too high for what we ordered. My husband's hot dog was burnt. The corndog was mediocre. Chili dogs were fine. But the fries were the worst fries I have ever had! Burnt, dry, no flavor, no potato inside the shell. I wondered if they were frozen, heated, and then re-heated. They would have to be to be so dry. (To give context, we ate at many excellent places on our vacation. This is the only place we didn't love). Never again.

Great location!
Ordered a burger here and it was delicious! Very friendly and felt very welcome.
