What User doesn't like about Wally's Pizza:
It was 1:30 when we arrived, and there was not another person in the restaurant. When we ordered our meal, one person in our party asked for blue cheese dressing for the salad. The wait person said, "we don't have blue cheese because no one likes it". Really? We were hungry and wanted our salads before the pizza. Love loved the pizza. Have tried a few things off the menu know and haven't been disappointed. They deliver which is great and all the staff I have dealt with there are super friendly..
Good pizza. Fresh, generous salads. Always a go to for our family for those impromptu get togethers when you need to feed 20 people right now! Wally and his family have supported the community for years.
The son of the previous owner has taken over so it is the same great taste and quality as before. I go very often and I am never disappointed with my food. I always receive it warm and the staff makes me feel like I am truly appreciated - something that can be difficult to find nowadays. I have never had a piece of old lettuce in my salads and the pizzas actually have some weight to them! I would 100% recommend them to anyone visiting Coaldale and looking for decent food.
We ordered an extra large pepperoni and bacon pizza and a couple of donairs for our family movie night. I was happy to find donairs and pizza at a place that delivers in Coaldale as most places here don't. The food arrived on time and was hot.The pizza had a reasonable amount of meat toppings and lots of cheese but was lacking on the sauce, we also found it to be quite salty. The pizza crust was very bland and flavorless and almost tasted like something out of a grocery store pizza kit. I could not finish all of my crust.The donairs were not as big as I am used to for the price charged. They did have enough sauce and it was tasty but there was not very much meat, rather there was an abundance of crunchy salad / vegies which was overpowering the meat flavor. I felt like I was eating a vegetable wrap with some meat rather than a donair.This is not my favorite pizza and donair place and was on the pricey side. I will likely try it again in the future just in case it was an off day.
