I really enjoyed this charming restaurant. The atmosphere was comfortable and pleasant, and I particularly loved the spacious bar. I had the tortellini, which was delightful, while my husband thoroughly enjoyed his manicotti. However, I didn't care for the house wine at all—it was undrinkable for me. I definitely plan to return to explore more of the menu, but next time, I'll stick to a martini! View all feedback.
What Dan R doesn't like about La Piazza:
The manager's attitude is a major issue here, which is likely why the restaurant is closed. The manager behaves as if she knows everything just because she's in charge. Reopening the restaurant with her still in charge doesn't seem like a smart move. The food was good at times, depending on who was cooking, but the rude staff and poor management are driving customers away. If things don't change, it's clear that peop... View all feedback.
We had lunch here this last weekend! The staff was all very friendly. There were six of us in our party. No one had any complaints on our meals other than the French onion soup was greasy. The menu prices are quite high. The outside of the restaurant looks like a pick up pizza place~ you wouldn't know that inside is a very large well decorated place. We would eat there again, when in town.
There pizza is very good. We order it fairly often. I dine in from time to time. Sandwiches for lunch are a safe bet. Dinners leave a lot to be desired. There fish dishes have been awful! We have tried the fish a couple times and will NEVER order and seafood again from here. Their G-free choices are bad too. They offer a g-free pizza. It's ok. Their G-free pasta is the worst I've ever had! Literally so under cooked that it was crunchy! The waitress made some odd excuse about cooking times is different for g-free. I sent it back but still got charged for it. The staff and service at lunch has been excellent For me, I stick with sandwiches and pizza.
Got takeout from here tonight and was pleasantly surprised. Fast and friendly service. We got a meatball sandwich and a ribeye steak sandwich and both were great!
We have enjoyed their manicotti and chicken Marsala dinners on a few occasions recently. These take out dinners come with a generous portion of warm bread and butter and nice salad. I really enjoy their bruschetta nice flavor without being too complicated. Very tasty, plenty to eat and reasonably priced.
When La Piazza first opened it was pretty good. But, that has changed through the years. After vowing not to eat there due to high prices and lackluster food, I caved and went back a couple of weeks ago. Not in the mood for pasta, I ordered a fish sandwich, and that is exactly what I got. The fish sandwich came with no lettuce, tomato, lemon or cocktail sauce. It was dry and overdone like chewing on a breaded flip flop. The fries were so so. The time before that nearly two years ago I ordered eggplant parm. There is nothing worse than undercooked eggplant. It was inedible and there's no real way of warming it up to make it better. If you can't get the eggplant done, don't serve it. At any rate, the restaurant is not owned by Italians, so that explains a lot. Too much for too little.
