akantus - Cluj-Napoca

This is the hotel restaurant at the Ramada. It's lovely - the room is nice, the menu's interesting, the staff are helpful and the food is good.All the same, you're much better off hopping in a taxi and heading for the middle of town. Cluj has some fantastic places to eat around Unirii square, in much more interesting settings, where you can make the most of the warm Romanian evenings.

New location together with nice architecture in Ramada Akantus Hotel . Located in the south semicentral area (Andrei Muresanu district) 500 m from old city. It is possible to park fre in the street.Unfortunately the owners closed the terrace and the garden is not a part of the ambient.Some details of decoraton, light, sound, equipment could be improved.Limited variety of dishes on the business meatings (no salads, no cheese). Otherwise good food.Good service.

Only ate once in the Akantus restaurant during a stay in the Ramada Cluj, but the experience was very good. I found the selection of (International cuisine) dishes very good and the prices good in international terms. The staff were faultless, attentive without being a nuisance and the presentation of the food was as would be expected from a well trained chef, with the ingredients appearing to be high quality. The result was certainly tasty and a pleasure to eat. There was also the small but appreciated touch of an 'amuse bouche' of bruschetta with tomato and garlic, and bread provided wrapped in a napkin, again a high class touch. I've given the restaurant an excellent rating, maybe excessive based around one visit, but I hope to be able to confirm that on the next visit which I shall certainly make!

Akantus is the main restaurant of the Ramada Hotel, when I stayed last week. There is a good variety of food, a great salad bar, included in the menu price, and excellent services.

The restaurant in located near the lobby. There was an excellent atmosphere, a great variety of food, very polite and well trained staff. I can only recommend it.
