The Mexican fast food at Herndon and Willow near Target is quite impressive. Be sure to try the Cheesy Quesadilla Dos Locos Salad, Classic Tostada Salad, Unwrapped Burrito Dos Locos Salad, Family Chicken Meals, Street Tacos, and the wide variety of big burritos. There is plenty to enjoy at this restaurant! View all feedback.
What Sydnee Lueilwitz doesn't like about El Pollo Loco:
I was disappointed with the lack of fresh ingredients in my whole chicken avocado burrito. It was mostly filled with cabbage and spoiled avocados. It's important for restaurants to not falsely advertise fresh food and to ensure they are serving quality meals to their customers. This experience ruined what could have been a pleasant Sunday afternoon outside. View all feedback.
The restaurant had overpriced food and was not very clean, with poor value for money. We ordered an 8-piece meal with two sides, one of which was the Mashed Potatoes that came with a small serving and an additional charge of $4.19 for more. None of the sides were filled and the total bill came to $40. When I asked the manager for a bit more mashed potatoes as they were not filled, she claimed they were pre-made and insisted we pay extra. I explained that we only needed a small amount to finish our meal, but she refused to help and seemed indifferent. The chicken portion was also very small. Overall, the quality, service, and cleanliness of the restaurant left much to be desired.

The first time we went the cashiers with glasses was extremely rude with us when we asked the manager she told us that she had Down syndrome, so we were as well understandable, but this second time we went was just terrible the guy on the drive was dripping like a teenage girl to us that we were?t sure how to take it, so that we just ignored hair like to eat our food half-colored when
It's one of my favorite restaurants! I won to call Ashley for great customer service. I recommend that my Hispanic community come here. There are times that do not speak our own way in Spanish. Thank you. Ashley goes on to bright people? Your Spanish is better than mines lol
I have frequented the Willow and Herndon location several times, as it is the closest location to my home, and have had problems with almost every visit. Most recently, the biggest issue has been the lack of options for ordering. My aunt and I went in at 7:45 to order a 16 pc family meal and were told there was not enough chicken. We were confused as this was around 1.5 hours before close, so we asked why there wasn?t any more chicken. We were told ?we like to slow it down near the end of the day.? Had it been 30 or even 45 minutes before close, we would?ve definitely understood; however, for them to start closing down almost 2 hours before close just for the heck of it put a sour taste in our mouths. We had to drive MILES out of our way just to get dinner elsewhere (in THIS economy with the gas prices being what they are WHY?! . This is a frequent issue of this location and I?m hoping something can be done. For this to happen frequently is frustrating and I believe not at all fair to customers coming in hoping to feed themselves and their family. Please do better.
