T... read more Del's is by far one of my favorites. It's just a basic diner that offers all the traditional diner fare. It's open 24/7, and has the hole-in-the -wall appeal. The food is good, and the portion sizes are generous, maybe too much so. I've learned to order the small version of whatever plate captures my attention. The waitresses are always friendly and provide top-notch service. Your glass or coffee cup will never run dry. The coffee is so good! Just a word of caution, though. Del's is not located within Houston city limits. Therefore, they are not bound by Houston's smoking ordinance. While Del's does have a non-smoking section, you will still smell cigarette smoke. If you are sensitive or allergic to smoke, you might want to skip this one. It doesn't bother me, so I stop at Del's every chance I get.
