Courtney Barbecue - Clover

Excellent! This place used to be owned by my husband's grandfather, Paul White Drennan, so after attending the burial of the former Adjutant General Stan Spears, we stopped in for lunch. Great people and great food! Barbecue, fried okra, collard greens, baked beans all delicious! So glad we stopped!

I decided to give this place another shot, even though my husband was completely against it. But he loves me, so here we are! We started with the pig belly bites, and wow—just wow! They were absolutely delicious. My husband ordered a combo of fish and shrimp prepared two ways, accompanied by a baked potato and roasted okra. The okra was amazing, though the baked potato was cold at first. Fortunately, our waitress replaced it with a much better one. I opted for a salad and a sweet potato. We’re definitely planning to return!

I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant and bar! The food was incredible—especially the ribs, which were incredibly tender and worth every penny. The steaks were huge, and I couldn’t resist going back to try the bratwurst, which I absolutely loved. Ashley at the bar was exceptional—she really knew her stuff. I also ordered the seafood dish with four items, which was more than enough for three people! I even had the chance to meet the owner, Gene, who was very welcoming and made sure we appreciated the great service. I’m giving this place a solid 5 stars for the best ribs, BBQ, bratwurst, and bar service in the area!

We love Courtneys. Gene and his staff are great! The food is fairly consistent every time we eat there. Here's a secret... her fried flounder is the best here.
