Description

Nestled conveniently without a long mountain drive, this family-focused ski area offers a casual, supportive atmosphere with excellent instructors, scenic views and reliable tubing sessions. Beginners thrive here and kids respond well to patient lessons; food — especially thin-crust brick-oven pizza and desserts — is a highlight. Popular days can feel busy and snow-dependent terrain limits advanced runs at times. The tubing conveyor system eases ascent but can be tricky for some older guests. Overall a welcoming, low-intimidation destination for families and first-timers.

If snow is open, it's great! This year was quite light on snow, but we still have in a day of tubing and had a great time. First check with them how they open their hours and days due to snow conditions.

Very nice ski area and staff. Its great that you don't have to drive up a long mountain to get there. Just wish mother nature would allow for more snow and the whole mountain would open.

I'm not sure if skiing here is the best option, but if you're looking to take the kids tubing, this is a fantastic spot. It costs $25 for a few hours of fun. Be sure to check the website beforehand to understand how they schedule the day in intervals.

Ski Cloudcroft is fantastic! If you're searching for a family-friendly spot to introduce your kids to skiing, this is the place to go. The ski instructors and staff are friendly, supportive, positive, and professional. When the upper lift is operational, the intermediate and advanced slopes are amazing! Just look at her!!!!

Great place to tube! We have gone multiple times and love it. They changed the way you get up the hill by adding a conveyer belt to it instead of the pull system they used to have. This is why it doesn’t get the extra star. It’s too narrow, nothing to hold onto so you need to “surf” up it with your tube which is too big for the belt. Not impossible but not easy enough for my 60 year old mother to do. She will not be able to return until they change this system.
