This isn't a Michelin star restaurant and they are not trying to be that either but, this place really serves it's purpose well. It's a thriving restaurant and deservedly so. Group of us met up and we all sampled various different items on offer. From...carvery lunches to salads to desserts, teas and coffees a complaint wasn't to be heard for any. Good, decent, tasty food not trying to be anything more than just that... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Beeches:
This place seems very popular at lunch times with locals workers on their lunchbreak. It is situated inside a garden centre. The food served at lunch is carvery style and there is ample parking, unlike the carverys in the town where you have to...pay for parking in the council carparks or on street parking. I have eaten lunch here in the past and the food is acceptable, I just don't like carvery food very much. It is... View all feedback.
After a late night at work, I woke up craving breakfast and decided to explore a new restaurant. We arrived just before breakfast was about to end, but the chef kindly agreed to whip something up for us. Although I'm not from the area, the chef was attentive and delivered excellent service. The atmosphere was calm and welcoming, complemented by our very friendly server. Our breakfast arrived quickly and was fresh, generously portioned, and precisely what I was hoping for. A big thank you to the staff and chef for their warm hospitality and a delightful breakfast experience!
After a long night shift, I woke up with a strong craving for breakfast and decided to try a new spot. We got there around 11, right in the middle of breakfast service. Even though we weren't regulars, the chef answered our call and graciously offered to prepare an early breakfast for us, despite us being a bit late. The restaurant had a lovely and cozy vibe, and the two waitstaff members were incredibly friendly. Our breakfast was served quickly, and it was fresh, hearty, and totally satisfying. A big thank you to the staff and chef for their warm hospitality, outstanding service, and a truly fantastic breakfast.
The chocolate cake at this restaurant is simply delightful, and the ambiance is truly remarkable, making it ideal for gatherings! The staff is also very friendly, though it is somewhat pricey.
We ordered toasted specials—one came with salad and the other with chips. Unfortunately, this is where the experience took a downturn. The sandwiches were just okay; basic and nothing spectacular. The salad that accompanied one of the sandwiches was great with generous portions, but the portion of chips was quite small and definitely not worth the price. When the bill arrived, it totaled almost £XX for the two of us, which felt overly expensive for what we received, especially in comparison to other places we've been. The tap water provided tasted awful, even the small orange slices couldn’t help mask it. While there were drinks available for purchase, the free water was a letdown. The condiments were also lacking, likely due to being out of sachets because of COVID precautions. The overall appearance of the restaurant seemed a bit tired and in need of a refresh, particularly the outdoor area, which felt more like a storage space than a dining environment. Given the high prices, I believe the restaurant should invest in some improvements. While the staff were lovely, the prices do not match the quality and value of the food. There are better options for lunch elsewhere.
We visited this restaurant today for lunch with our family. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, which really made the experience. The restaurant was busy but efficient. The food was all delicious and the portions were generous. They will need to continue to maintain this high standard as there is strong competition in the area. We will definitely be returning, as the prices are reasonable and the staff are friendly. What more could you ask for?
