I tried the fried pickles and... read more Decent family style restaurant with a variety of things to eat. Wraps, quesadillas, burgers and sandwiches. Some Cajun favorites . I tried the fried pickles and a bowl of gumbo. The pickles with the remuolade sauce were tasty. The batter was very delicate and not greasy which was nice. I am not a gumbo expert but the gumbo was just ok. Will have to try it at more spots to get a good comparison. But I just found this version salty with a bit of spice. The waitress was very sweet and attentive, always checking up on my and refilling my soda. She even talked me into getting the bread pudding for dessert. For $2.50, you can 't beat it! The host that greeted us and show us to our seat was pleasant as well. We ordered the swamp nachos, fried mushrooms and the steak po' boy with onion rings. Everything was delicious. I was surprised by the fried mushrooms they were good (I don't like mushrooms, FYI) . I gave the atmosphere a 4 because it could use an update and better ventilation. My husband and I had a great experience. The pricing was fair as well.
