They've added to the menu since I've gone. My biggest issue is the pickled red onions on the gyro. They come pre-pickled so I can't even get them raw. Yellow onion is not a substitute. The Atlas fries which is a sliced potato fried was a bit over cooked and you have to pay for tahini. The gyro doesn't come with it. View all feedback.
What Evangeline Kessler doesn't like about Atlas Greek Down South:
On Thursday night, my family and I decided to give Atlas a try for the first time. We arrived at 7:50, just 40 minutes before the restaurant's closing time of 20:30. On Thursday night, my family and I decided to give Atlas a try for the first time. We arrived at 7:50, just 40 minutes before the restaurant's closing time of 20:30. However, when we approached the unfriendly hostess and requested a table for 3, she responded with, "To eat? I don't think they will cook for you." Confused and put off by her remark, we decided to leave and instead enjoyed a meal at the Mexican restaurant across the street.
The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere with an attractive interior. It wasn't too busy and the dining experience was enjoyable. It was slightly pricey considering the surroundings and service. The lack of waitstaff was unusual but surprisingly effective.
We tried this restaurant for the first time tonight and were not satisfied. The loaded spiral fries were overcooked, dry, and unseasoned. The gyro had very little meat and mostly consisted of salad. I ended up taking the toppings from my loaded fries and adding them to my gyro because it was difficult to eat. We do not plan on ordering from here again.
My son and I ordered the burgers who were over cooked and dry and not tasted. we also ordered atlasfries that were not cooked and raw. my daughter ordered the queen who was not at all reached that she did not finish it. my wife ordered the lamb gyroscope and was also very dry and no taste. there is nothing Greek at this place. at all! there is no spicy on the tables so they have to ask for everything. I do not recommend this restaurant and mcdonald’s serves honestly better eating and its cheaper. Save frustration and go to mcdonalds. we're going to pizza now because we're still hungry. papa! john calls us.
