That said, I recently realized that my beloved bread comes wrapped in plastic that contains red and blue dyes right next to it. The Vermont Bread Company promotes their product as being healthy, highlighting that it contains no high fructose corn syrup or artificial preservatives. If that's the case, why not use more environmentally friendly and safe packaging, like butcher paper or wax paper?
