Alexus Steakhouse Tavern - Clifton

It has a local vibe to it. So if you're not one, then you may experience a bit of coldness and slow service. The steaks were alright. Standard fare. I recommend trying it out. If you do, don't go with too high of an expectation.

Pleasantly surprised, their Delmonico Steak had my husband and I needing another person to help us with a serving. Good value for the money, service was amazing and the food was tasty. Good hosting by Alex. Will be returning.

Big place and looks nice and clean ,with a great big bar. Have to come back for the food. To be continued. Second visit and tries some wings . Delicious and plentiful, with nice blue cheese with chunks. Friendly staff,can't wait to come back with family and friends for Dinner.

Low-key dining experience which was nice. Getting a good steak in a casual environment is a nice change of pace. Ordered the Delmonico steak which was described to us as a very large ribeye. I ordered it medium since it was so thick and I figured the center wouldn't be cooked properly (it's astonishingly hard to find a steak place that can actually cook a steak to order). It came out nearly rare over most of the steak, as expected. I ate the parts that were cooked and brought the rest home. The flavor was good and I enjoyed the parts I ate. I ordered the side of shrimp as well which were mediocre overall. This place has potential but I won't be racing back. Next time I'll get a normal ribeye and hope they can cook that better.

This has been a staple in Clifton for decades. A great place to gather before and after games for sure. Amazing steaks with great service by local the community. Been a while since my last visit, but I will be back again for a yearly reunion with some of the Best Coaches in Clifton.
