We ordered one of the specials for 3 which was more than enough for 4 of us.This isn't authentic Indian food but the westernised version of butter chicken, lamb rogan josh etc. Don't be put off by this comment as it was still really tasty and enjoyed all of the family.A favourite take out for us. What User doesn't like about Maharaja Indian Restaurant:
We had takeout, and it was very average. The curries were nice, but small. The Naan were nice, except for the Shai Naan which instead of being packed with fruit and nuts, were plain and doughy with just a few pieces of fruit. The entrees were okay, a bit too greasy, and the meat samosas were tough. The most disappointing thing was the little containers of what we think was Thai Sweet Chili Sauce. Why? Where were the... This award winning restaurant Always delivers amazing food. Best on the bayside however wait times can be undesirable. Our fav go toos are Tikka Masala with a Spinach Cheese nann.

Everyone in our group had plenty of choices on the menu. The pappadams and samosas were light and fresh, the butter chicken was excellent, the mango chicken was divine, the garlic and cheese naan was amazing, the pilau rice was perfect, the raita was delicious, the beef rogan josh was tender and excellent, the lamb korma was delicious, and the rice was fresh and fluffy. Overall, the food was absolutely delicious, fresh, and we were served ample portions. We have eaten at many Indian restaurants across Australia and the world, and this meal was one of the best in terms of choice, quality, freshness, taste, and cost. Our meal for 14 came to just under $350. When I am in Brisbane, Maharaja will always be on my list. Thank you for a wonderful meal and service. We will definitely be back. Regards, Bernadette.
