I had a disappointing experience at Dave's in Cleveland Heights. There was only one person working the counter and register when I arrived. I ordered my sub at 12:15 but didn't receive it until 1:30, which was frustrating as I only have a half-hour lunch break. They gave us a salad with wilted lettuce and left off part of the order.
Called and asked, “can I place an order for pickup?”The person on the line said, “No.” then hung up. Yeah, there goes a potential customer. Thanks.
Wow! Was just passing through and was delighted from the atmosphere and the food. Their cosmic sauce was very good on my Italian sub. Friendly staff as well.
Very skimpy with the toppings and waaaay drenched with sauce
I might give it a shot again, because it did have a good taste to it (sloppy joe sub)... BUT, why would you wrap a dripping pickle into the wrapping of my sandwich? Is the bread supposed to be somewhat crunchy, hard, and flaky? I'm not into the whole scratching my mouth up thing. Was the sub meant to come through the bottom of the roll? And 10 bucks for that size of a sub is ridiculous.... It was tasty though, just bad everything else... Maybe that was a one off, hope so
