Contribute FeedbackProvenance, located in an art museum, offers themed menus that are creative and delightful. While some reviews mention shortcomings in vegetarian options and wait times, others highlight the excellent dishes like the hot, perfectly cooked salmon and delicious steak. The restaurant provides a cozy ambiance with great proximity to art. Service is attentive and knowledgeable, making for a delightful dining experience. Don't count on a regular menu, but trust that each dish is expertly prepared and creatively presented. Provenance is a pleasant surprise for those looking for a memorable dining experience.
The service was fantastic, the drinks were top-notch, and the view was stunning. The food was decent, but not outstanding. It's a shame because this restaurant has the potential to become well-known if they improved their cooking slightly.
It was a real nice brunch. The food was vey good. The only suggesting I would have would to explain things a little better on the menu. It seemed that the same questions we had, others had too. Beautiful view.
We went for Valentine’s Day, and I cannot overstate what a wonderful experience we had. Our table overlooked sweeping view of the Temple all lit up at night, and the ambiance was intimate and cozy. We arrived late and were therefore on a time crunch before we headed off to a lecture, but our server Erin managed to get us in and out in time while still making everything feel leisurely and relaxed. Service was attentive but not overbearing, and she made excellent recommendations. We started with the house made burrata, which was delicious and a great starter portion for two. For mains, I was initially disappointed because none of the offerings seemed particularly creative. That said, I had the salmon, and it was phenomenal. The skin was perfectly crispy while the meat was moist, and it paired beautifully with the potato and yogurt dill sauce. A deceptively simple dish executed to perfection! My husband had the chicken sugo, which he absolutely inhaled. Although the menu is made up recognizable standard upscale dinner fare, what you order is going to be the best example of whatever it is, with a few interesting twists. Although there was complimentary champagne for Valentine’s Day, I also had a Winter Pom from their mixed drink menu and was very pleased with the flavors and balance of the drink. If you’re looking for a romantic dinner spot that has it all food, drinks, service, and ambiance this is it!
Disappointing dinner. I really would like to give Provenance a good review simply because it is at the art museum. However, it took an hour to get our food, the server forgot my wine order, brussel sprouts were cold, and neither my husband nor I could eat about a fourth of our $30 steaks because of grizzle, fat and even a bone chip! The bread was lousy too. The Celeriac salad was tasty.
Have dined there three times for lunch and the food is consistently divine. Love the coffee! Great way to spend the day with friends: tour the museum and dine at Provenance.
