Otani Japanese - Cleveland

The staff here is incredibly friendly, and the food is outstanding. The vibrant atmosphere adds to the experience. While I was waiting for my order at the sushi bar, they generously offered me a complimentary hot tea. I definitely recommend Otanis Japanese restaurant!

I've been enjoying her sushi specialties on Wednesday evenings since COVID began (I used to get them at the restaurant before). They were always delicious and almost always ready at the expected time.

I visited this restaurant occasionally from the early 70s until the beginning of the 80s, and again briefly in the early 90s. I hadn't been back in about 9-10 years and was disappointed during my last visit. However, I recently heard some positive reviews, so I decided to give it another try. I'm glad I did! The sashimi was excellent, the beef dish was fantastic, and the dumplings were quite good. My pork cutlet dish was also great. The wine selection was somewhat limited, but they had a wonderful California Sauvignon Blanc that’s one of my favorites. Overall, it was a delightful experience.

We are now regularly at this point and we could not be happier, we always get our place at the bar and the atmosphere is relaxed, clean and pleasant. The staff is super helpful, always smiling and the chefs know exactly what I get every time and help my husband try new things. We come to this place as often as we can enjoy it. Great for a first date, weekday, friends and just to have great food and relaxed time.

Wr went their for my brother's rehearsal dinner and our cook was great, the best one we have ever experienced. The food was delicious, really enough for 3 meals.
