Overall a good experience, just a few Minor things. I asked to be sat in a more romantic location if possible. We were instead sat in a very very loud corner area between 2 groups. It did quiet down a bit after another table left but it was difficult to carry a conversation in the beginning. What scott doesn't like about District:
The tables were too close to enjoy a conversation with my wife. The person sitting next to me was bumping elbows with me. In addition the service was less than average. Lastly, I ordered the filet cooked medium. Not only was it a terrible cut, it was cooked well and tasteless. I will say the truffled mashed potatoes were very good. The new decor is gorgeous, but the acoustics are poor. The server was delightful, but service was slow. It took over 20 minutes of staring at butter on the table to get bread served. The meal was meh at best. I have always liked this establishment, but if this last trip were my first, I would not go back.
This place has really went down hill. Subpar food and service. It’s too bad because it used to be a great place to go before or after a play, but we sadly won’t be returning.
We always have a good experience. Eric and his staff always exceed expectations.
The food was just OK. I ordered a blackened salmon that was recommended. There was almost no blackening on it and the fish was over cooked. My husband’s short ribs were basic but good. The Brussel Sprouts app was fantastic. When I shared the issue with my fish, the waitress offered to bring out extra seasoning but not remake. Overall, there are better options in the area for the price.
Me and my family was only ones there on a Sunday evening 10/1/23. It's our first time going to the restaurant it was clean, elegant class, the server was awesome. My parents and cousin love the coffee said it's delicious as well the food perfect worth the price. I do recommend this restaurant for first timers or a date night. Keep up good work.
