Had the filled chicken medals. Great taste for chorizo filling. Interesting dish never had a fried chicken breast in a Mexican restaurant. Almost seemed to be baked with Panco bread crumbs. Wanted to replace black beans for the coal beans for me, a big move. Bartender said it wasn't a problem. Nice trio of salsas and chips to munch when I sat down. View all feedback.
From the originals (Amarillo and Lubbock TX), as they started, I was pleasantly surprised how it tasted. Real queen. Chorizo is so good. Great friendly service.
Very good food with several creative decisions. Service was excellent. Margaritas were fine. Nice decor. Children enjoyed. We'll be back.

Great place to spend happy hour after a long day at work. The food is delicious, the drinks are well made, decent prices, and the staff is very friendly. I mentioned in a previous review about participating better Mexican restaurants, that is definitely one of them.
Stopped in again with my son who fought me on wanting to go for Mexican food. I have a convert. He said there is more to Mexican food than just tacos. Yes, and Abuelo's has some great options. He liked the pork medallions and I enjoyed the salmon with wine sauce. Happy hour has some wonderful small bite options.
