I came in looking for a pound of jerky and left with a newfound love for candied bacon. Those folks at Dionne's really know how to lure you in! I tried a quarter pound of their delicious, thick-cut smoked bison jerky, along with black pepper and teriyaki varieties. The gentleman assisting me offered me a sample of the sweet and spicy bacon jerky (also known as bacon candy), and I was immediately hooked. The very next day, I returned to purchase a whole pound! I can only hope it lasts longer than a few days... it’s truly a must-try. It’s tender yet chewy, sweet with a hint of pepper, and definitely not spicy, so don't let the name deceive you.

During our visit to the Westside Market, we explored a variety of vendors, and there was something for everyone! From pastries and drinks to coffee, a wide assortment of meats, gyros, and more. After checking out all the stalls, we returned to this particular stand because the staff was incredibly friendly and engaging. Sara ended up purchasing a BACON BOMB, which is a delicious creation made of hamburger, Spivey Italian Sausage, diced bell peppers, jalapeños, onions, and cream cheese, all wrapped in a woven layer of bacon. She can't wait to prepare it at home! This was truly a fantastic place with wonderful people!

I really liked the concept of a jalapeño popper stuffed tenderloin. However, the amount of cream cheese was excessive. In just one slice of the tenderloin, there was about 2-3 tablespoons of unnecessary cream cheese, especially after my half-inch piece was completely smothered in it. I get that they sell based on weight, but come on! The only jalapeño presence was four small slices on top, which fell off as soon as the cream cheese went everywhere. The dish would be fantastic if it contained more jalapeños and significantly less cream cheese—like, not an entire 8-ounce block per pound!
