I used to go to this restaurant during training on Clermont-Ferrand, and have never been disappointed. The service is always impeccable, fast and attentive; the quality and very good cuisine. I advise among other things sashimis and sushi, bowls of vinegar rice with assortment of fish are also worth the detour and are consistent, you can complete with a typical entrance salads of algae with sesame, excellent, or gyoz... Little Japanese restaurant in one of the bustling streets of the city center. Lambda decoration: the tables are a little on each other but it is that also makes the charm. Regarding the kitchen: the fish is fresh, the proportions are fair and it's good (no more, it remains fish, rice and I didn't feel the difference on the Gyozas). Good but disappointed. The sushi was not very fresh and I had a lot of makis at the end of the roll, where I had very little rice and trim. On a tray of 36 pieces, there were still 4 or 5... The waitresses remain nice despite everything.
Sushis good, sashimis side very modest quantity for a high price. The accompaniment is also to be taken. mixed opinion...
Yesterday we ordered two dishes, one of the two dishes made of meat had a smell of fish. All vegetables Mixed in a Rice Bouillace and some suspicious pieces of meat. My wife was sick all night with big stomach cramps, not even my dog ended the dish was sick. I'm warning the health services of the prefecture.
Very disappointed by the Santooka, it would seem that the hundreds of positive opinions are people who don't know what it is about good Japanese cuisine. The ravioli were frozen, the katsudon collapsed, it would have been said of meat recomposed, prices as in all Japanese are exorbitant for finally a rather bad quality. Little less and more, the decor and color of the restaurant is not very pretty.
We have repeated the experience 4 times, very happy with the welcome, the fresh products and so far no disappointments ;D I recommend
