An excellent address. Finally a Japanese address with real sushi. And the tiramisu with the red beans paste a pure killing. Not being in the department we made the road to this restaurant, and we do not regret. On the other hand, think about booking absolutely View all feedback.
What Isabelle Jost doesn't like about Maiko:
How to say... It's fresh... but... He's the only one who cooks and makes the order he decided. So we ate in turn with the nearby tables. Lack of flavor. Home and cold service, the smile must be optional. Let's not talk about decor or lighting... View all feedback.
I discovered this restaurant, a little by chance. Like many Japanese restaurants, the entrance does not pay for a mine (we even wonder if it's still active), but all life is inside, and especially in the dishes! the menu map is minimal but there are dishes that I did not find in other Japanese restaurants to clermont. in front of us: - sushi menu from noon to 15€ (salade iceberg but with excellent vinaigrette, real homemade miso soup, and 6 sushi and 6 makis tasteus) everything is fresh and done in front of you, it is also said! fish are delicious, the mouths are wonderful. the chirashi dish is also to fall backwards with its fine omelette lamelles and its bed of rice, fish and shavings of lawyers. Finally to finish: a homemade tiramisu with delicate red beans and creamy. Never seen in another clermont restaurant at the moment. Really. You have to forget the old-fashioned decor and appreciate what you're going to have in your mouth. guaranteed trip to the country of sunrise! and as our friend arnold says: "i'll be back"
Accustomed to this restaurant that we have been in for several years, it is the right address to be missed if you want to discover the authentic Japanese cuisine. The dishes are all prepared with a real know-how to do by a real Japanese chef implanted in a clermont for more than 20 years and there are several classics of Japanese cuisine of every day that we find nowhere else in the other addresses of the city.Bémol for the service that is no longer warm at all, the waitress present since this winter is rarely pleasant and rather drunk, it is a shame. but it does not remove in any way the quality of the meal which is very reasonable price. especially since waitresses change regularly. So we have to get to know the cause, we really have it for his money!
Advised by a Japanese friend ( violin teacher) and to please my Brazilian niece amateur of Japanese restoration, we are transported the time of a lunch at Mayko. As tomoko had told me, the restaurant is family, without chichis, but authentic (to observe the table of connoisseurs in front of us, we find ourselves in the country!). for me, I discover, but don't regret, the soup is tasteful, the dishes are fresh, the cooking are top, the ice with excellent tea and makes emules around me. It's not the restaurant of the century, however, for a change, it's worth a visit.
I was looking forward to this meal of ramen for which we had booked a week before. We were first told that 9:00 was too late and that we had to be there at 8:45 to the maximum for the service. our two friends were already present in the restaurant when we arrived. Only another table with 2 people were eating inside. when we arrived, we were barely greeted and the reception was freezing. the waitress (of which obviously it is not the trade) was unpleasant to the possible. She brought us the cards (without telling us that the single meal was: the soybeans) and she gave us the cards to choose our drink. Not a single rictus on her part and a feeling emanated from her jemenfoutist. under a false preventive air, she advised our two friends already present to eat quickly because otherwise it would not be good! Then I was served (with no delicacy on her part) and when she served my friend next to me, she didn't bother to make the round of the table and she passed me in front without any excuse (I had never seen that!). the other table ended her meal and the waitress left her position at 9:00. The cook then spent his time watching us and we really felt that he was only waiting for one thing: we were leaving! the ramen were disappointing, without flavor and without any vegetable. We'd have a kub or hen broth, a lot of disappointment. The slug hit came when you paid. The cook spoke another language (Japanese surely) in his beard and it was felt that he was exasperated to the idea of going out his calculator to divide the payment in two and count the restaurants tickets. We went out shocked not such an attitude and he rushed to close his shop behind us. I understood at that time why his restaurant had only been covered that night. It's clear that I'd never get back to it. Only negative! a good hearer.
The ramen were correct without more salty, the reception was deplorable. the extremely unpleasant waitress, visibly customers disturb.
