small restaurant in the pedestrian streets of clermont, a great discovery with products sorted on the flap. This minimally worked, just so as to reveal the flavors. Nice presentation and a very pleasant welcome. A nice table not to miss. View all feedback.
What Jessika Hessel doesn't like about L'AOC:
restaurant with no special interest except for the outdoor terrace in summer and wine map. food is insipid, aligot and vegetables without flavors, meat of good quality but to clermont it is not what is more difficult to find. brief bad address for both the kitchen and the prices. View all feedback.
We were a group of 13 looking for a good place for a relaxed lunch at a reasonable price in the old part of clermont. we contacted L’AOC in advance as it is only a small restaurant and the booking is required for larger groups. they were very helpful, offer a menu for 30euro with a selection of 2 options for each curs and some wein included to make our visit as relaxed as possible. the staff was very friendly as welcoming, the service was excellent and the eating was excellent. simple, perfectly presented and cooked. a great “local” experience
About eating is the best there, but also the average and so on. the beginning of my wife scalopes) was simply great, while my gravur of salmon was more ground salmon with a lot of oil than a real engraving. the truffle risotto when my wife was great, while my thunfish was so again and suggested with the local cheese potato aligot. it is clearly not shy, but not expensive neither simply in the very high side w’for what they serve. it took 25 min to be in the position to order ... over the entire service was pleasant, but far over loaded. Maybe we should come back to make a second attempt.
They will only enjoy to walk to the narrow streets of Clermont-Ferrand to reach l’aoc. then they enjoy a very nice selection of appetizers, bribes and desserts for every taste. they may find the room a little loud, but it is because the customers are. happy; By the way,AOC appellation d’origine controlée and not alexandria Ocasio-Cortez! it's about weeping, not about politics!
This is our favourite restaurant in Clermont. The steaks are to die for. Good quality produce coupled with an excellent chef and an attentive, second to none, service always makes this restaurant a great night out. Consequently it is always full so it is advisable...to book. Set in the old part of Clermont, there is a buzz about the place that turns a summer evening meal into a great experience, especially with a table outside. A good wine list just enhances the whole experience. I thoroughly recommend this restaurant as we have lost count of the number of times we have returned.
