My son ordered the kids' cheese quesadilla, and he thought it was fine, but again, nothing special. I'm left wondering if the restaurant is famous for other items on the menu, or if perhaps the more basic offerings simply cater to the college crowd. I'm not sure what all the hype is about. The server and host were friendly, and we enjoyed sitting outside in the front, but the service was just okay—not anything to write home about. Overall, I don’t think I’d return anytime soon.

My wife insisted that we go to the restaurant because she had such a fantastic experience there with her sister last time. Unfortunately, it got busy quickly and they were short-staffed. We ended up waiting an hour for our sandwiches, with only one person attending to the entire bar, which was surprisingly large. The service was slow and the food was disappointing. The fried green tomatoes were enormous and undercooked, with the breading falling off. My wife ordered the chicken sandwich, but it arrived cold and rubbery, along with cold truffle fries that were more like potato wedges. I ordered the Cuban sandwich, which was lukewarm, flavorless, and also came with cold truffle fries. We barely touched our food; my wife had only one fry and a few bites of her sandwich. Even a blind server could see we were not satisfied. We paid and left, and we won’t be returning. It just wasn’t worth the money.

The food was amazing! My daughter ordered the steak tacos and declared them the best tacos she’s ever had. I opted for the Keowee salad topped with steak, which was incredibly fresh and delicious.

Actually didn't get to try the food because no one would wait on us. Walked in and were pointed to a table in the back. No one came with a menu or asking for a drink order. Others came in and were served and we just sat and waited eventually deciding that was enough and left.

We were lucky to happen to sit at the bar for this, our first visit to Evolve. Plus, the bartender, relatively new to this position, was personable, knowledgeable, and efficient. Sorry we didn’t get her name, but she was true icing on the cake. Thanks and all the best in your life journey!Btw, … Awesome food! I had the kale, avocado, pomegranate, feta, pecan salad with grilled shrimp. Wow!

Nestled in a lively college-town setting near the botanical gardens, this restaurant draws praise for creative Southern-inspired dishes—especially fried green tomatoes, tacos, salads and churros—and a well-stocked bar with personable bartenders. Diners report standout freshness and bold flavors, but experiences vary: service can be slow or understaffed, with occasional cold or undercooked plates and missed orders. When staffed well, the team hustles and the food shines, making this a hit-or-miss spot worth a try.

Took over an hour to get our food. Waitress admitted she forgot to put in the check to the kitchen. That?s fine, but a manager didn?t even come over to apologize. Coming from the restaurant industry, I would have discounted the check or given a customer around of free drinks. Food was late and cold. Customer service is dying a slow death. So sad!

Don 't come here if you are gluten free. They do not have any gluten free options like gluten free rolls. They will treat your gluten free allergy like its a lifestyle choice not a medical condition. Besides that great food.

Evolve Kitchen Table is attentive to health protocols, with staff properly wearing masks. We began with the fried green tomatoes, served with pesto aioli and bacon jam—an amazing twist that made them unbeatable. The shrimp tacos were light, spicy, savory, and crunchy. The tortilla chips were perfect, especially with the fresh guacamole for dipping. And don’t miss dessert! The churros, filled with caramel and served with chocolate sauce, make a fantastic treat to share. It’s been over six months since our visit, and the restaurant remains outstanding! The fried green tomatoes are still the best I’ve had in the state, easily competing with any from Charleston, especially with the pesto aioli and bacon jam. My dad enjoyed his French dip, calling it very tasty—and he’s tried many over the years. The au jus was just right. The staff works hard to consistently deliver delicious food, and it really shows. They even split the Cali club sandwich for my wife and me, plating it separately. With its college town vibe, friendly staff, and excellent food, there’s so much to love here!

The chef accidentally prepared my burger medium-rare instead of medium. Our wonderful waitress, Trinity, was determined to make sure we had a fantastic experience and offered to replace the dish or assist with anything else we needed. We declined, but she still insisted on surprising us with a complimentary dessert. What a charming restaurant!

Our server, Jake, was attentive and well-informed, providing excellent recommendations, including the Reuben, which I wholeheartedly agreed with. Evolve offers a charming atmosphere, feeling more upscale than the nearby college sports bars, yet the prices remain quite reasonable. They feature a full bar with a modest but intriguing selection of wines and beers. We highly recommend visiting Evolve Kitchen Table—Clemson could definitely use more spots like this! Update: We returned to Evolve today and had another fantastic experience, just as great as our previous visit. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, this restaurant is clearly thriving! The menu keeps evolving (pun intended). I enjoyed the Southern Cuban sandwich with a side salad, both of which were superb, while my wife’s Longcreek salad with grilled chicken was fresh and delicious. Evolve is definitely back in full swing—don’t miss out on it!
