I had a disappointing experience with an employee named Sommer, who was quite rude and had a poor attitude. She was noticeably frustrated, even sucking her teeth and slamming the meat onto my sandwich, which made me feel unwelcome. However, I want to highlight another employee, Syriah. She was fantastic—very fast, friendly, and provided excellent customer service. Keep up the great work, Syriah!
Stopped by at 8pm tonight 8/31/2023 standing in line waiting and the boy sweeping the floor was sweeping trash all over everyone in line . I said something to him he just shrugs his shoulders and says my bad . Then the same boy sweeping trash stopped went behind the counter without stopping at this sink to wash his hands grabbed the bread to put up front and then put gloves and started making sandwiches after touching trash and a dirty broom . Other customers were complaining as well about him sweeping trash and complaining about old brown lettuce so we just got out of line and went next door to Illinois to get subs which was a much better experience. I suggest this subway location get rid of young idiots without common sense out of there .
I’ve always loved this Subway for how fast and efficient they are. Plus, the workers are usually so kind.Today, I had the worst experience. I was going inside to pick up a mobile order for my husband and daughter but the two guys working were busy with a line which is totally fine. I sat and waited for my order to be put out in the cafe. When the line died down, I stood up to ask about my order (which was predicted to be done around 1, it was 1:15 at this point) and they both walked to the back without even attempting to talk to me. I could see that my order was sitting on the back counter ready, but hadn’t been put out on the mobile order pickup. I waited at the register for one of them to notice me, and they, multiple times, made eye contact with me but continued talking to each other without coming up to greet me. I waited at the front counter for over 10 mins and more customers came in and formed a line waiting for them to come help us. Eventually, one of the customers in the cafe called the store and they answered the phone from the back. He said “we’re all waiting for you up here!” and one of the boys eventually came up after another couple minutes of talking. I got my mobile order around 1:25pm.It was truly the worst service I’ve ever had anywhere. I’ve worked in food service for over 5 years so I understand needing a break but I can’t justify how bad these boys were at their job. One had brown hair and the other was blonde. The subs were completely fine and made correctly, but definitely wasn’t worth the service. I’m posting this not to discourage anyone from eating here, but rather because I believe management needs to be working with these kids more to make sure they’re at least halfway doing their jobs.
