So my husband and I decided to go to Filomena for a date n... read more Being a Jersey Girl living in the city, I get really nostalgic for South Jersey and all of its charm. So my husband and I decided to go to Filomena for a date night and it was exactly what we need. We were lucky enough to snag two seats at the bar so we could watch the games. We got bar food that was super solid and scratched an itch. However the service was the real star. The bartender Jess was incredible and really made our time special. She made amazing well balanced cocktails and knew the many menus front and back. Somehow she perfectly juggled being warm, present and attentive. She fired off our food exactly when we needed it, kept the bar cleared and tidy, and we never waited for a drink. We usually only get that level of service in fine dining settings, so it was all quite a treat. We’re excited to go back to drop in on Jess and try more of the food!
